Michael Skrobica is the Vice President of Industry Monetary Affairs at the Air Transport Association of Canada, which include responsibility for User Charges, Airport Affairs, Security, Membership and Administration Issues. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and a Chartered Accountant.
He has an extensive background in the financial and administrative operations with airlines, having served in senior positions with Austin Airways, Air Ontario, Air Creebec, First Air and Ptarmigan Airways.
Mr. Skrobica additionally served as Acting CFO for the start up of both NAV CANADA and the Air Transport Security Corporation.
He was involved in the development of both Memoranda of Agreement on Airport Improvement Fees.
