ATAC is pleased to report a very successful AGM and Tradeshow in Vancouver with approximately 450 delegates in attendance. We would like to extend a special thanks to all our Sponsors and Exhibitors listed whose participation contributed greatly to the success of our conference.
The session with Transport Canada's Director General Civil Aviation, Martin Eley was very well received as well as the Luncheon with the Minister of State for Transport, The Honourable Rob Merrifield.

Congratulations to the following award winners:
The David Charles Abramson Memorial Flight Instructor Safety Award - The 2010 recipient is William Sutherland from Moncton Flight College. This award is presented annually to the top flight instructor.
Webster Memorial Trophy Award - Top Amateur Pilot of the Year - The 2010 recipient is James Pouget from Centennial College/Durham Flight Centre and the runner-up is Cameron MacLean from Coastal Pacific Aviation. The Webster Memorial Trophy Competition is an annual event intended to declare the "top amateur pilot in Canada".
ATAC Honorary Life Membership Award - The 2010 recipients are Tracy Medve from Canadian North and Bob Davis from NAV CANADA (formerly with First Air). The Association's highest award, to individuals who during their lifetime have contributed significantly to the improvement of the Association and the Canadian air transport industry as a whole.
The Paul Mulrooney Memorial Award of Excellence - The first ever recipient of this award is Brad Martin from Bearksin Airlines. This award is given annually to an employee of an operator member company who has demonstrated progressive advancement to and within management positions.
Hope Air Outstanding Philanthropist Award - The award went to Bearskin Airlines. This award is to recognize philanthropic leadership by an ATAC member who has shown dedication to Hope Air's mission of removing the barriers of distance and cost that separate Canadians from the specialized healthcare they require.
Air Cadet Continuation Flying Bursary - The bursary was awarded to Cadet WOII Stephen Kane of the 676 Kittyhawk Squadron in North Saanich, BC. This bursary is provided twice a year (May and November) to top air cadets as chosen by the Air Cadet League of Canada.
