ATAC is pleased to report a very successful AGM and Tradeshow in Montreal with approximately 450 delegates in attendance. We would like to extend a special thanks to all our Sponsors and Exhibitors listed below whose participation contributed greatly to the success of our conference.
Our Plenary Session on November 14 entitled "Economic Footprint of the Canadian Commercial Aviation Industry" was very well received. The panelists provided their perspective of the specific challenges on this front and some of the strategies to confront the issues. Their presentations (if available) are as follows:
-
- Nick Mulder, Consultant and Senior Associate, Global Public Affairs
-
Moderator: Dr. Isabelle Dostaler, Associate Professor, John Molson School of Business,
Concordia University
The Luncheon with keynote speaker Frederick (Ted) Larkin, Principal of Larkinvest was well attended as well as the session with Transport Canada's Director General Civil Aviation, Martin Eley.
New this year was a Safety Assurance Workshop by Donald Baldwin of Baldwin Aviation. Integrating flight training schools and regional air operators, this interactive workshop explored the fundamentals of a SMS with a focus on Safety Assurance. The attendance surpassed our expectations.
