2008 Canadian Aerospace MRO Technology Workshop

This workshop, jointly organized by Industry Canada and the Air Transport Association of Canada, will focus on the impact of technology on the competitiveness of the Canadian MRO industry.  It will provide opportunities for interaction between the aircraft operators, MROs, OEMs, SMEs, government research laboratories and universities to explore potential collaboration in various technology development areas. This collaborative effort aims at advancing technologies of benefit to the MRO industry to respond to market pressures, leading to increased employment opportunities and enhanced productivity.  

Objectives:

• Define and prioritize key technologies based on the needs of the aircraft MRO industry and driven by end-user requirements.
• Identify challenges, opportunities, gaps and barriers in related technologies that are of strategic value to the Canadian aerospace industry.
• Identify/foster collaborative technology development activities between various industrial and academic players.
