ATAC offers three types of membership, with 7 sub-categories for operator members. To find out how ATAC can help your company please select the category that applies to you from the following chart.

I. Operators
These include seven types of companies, to find out more about the benefits ATAC can offer you, and to start the application process, please click on the type of company that best describes your operation:

Global Carriers  - provide scheduled and charter service domestically and to foreign countries and have gross flying revenues in excess of $2 billion annually.

Large Carriers - operate large passenger aircraft primarily in domestic and/or international charter and/or scheduled operations

Regional Carriers - operate commuter aircraft, jet and/or turbo-prop and serve a regional market

 

Local Service Operators - provide air taxi and/or flight training services at a particular location or group of locations

Helicopter Operators - primarily involved in commercial air transportation using helicopters

Cargo Operators - primarily involved in commercial air cargo service operations

Aviation Educational Institutions - diploma or degree granting institutions engaged in aviation training or education leading to students qualifying for or accreditation in a recognized field of aviation activity, including, without limitation, pilots, AME and technicians

 

II. Affiliate Member

Any association whose functions are associated with aviation.

 

III. Associate Members

Any person, firm or corporation whose functions are associated with aviation.

Each Associate Member will be placed into one (1) of the following three (3) categories:

(i) Associate-Foreign Operator:  foreign  persons, firms or corporations engaged in the commercial operation of aircraft into and out of Canada.  Each Associate-Foreign Operator Member’s head office must be located outside of Canada; or

(ii) Associate-Supporting—individuals, sole proprietors, one person firms or corporations, the Minister's Delegate-Maintenance, the Design Approval Delegate, researchers and academics whose annual Canadian aviation-related revenue does not exceed $250,000. Only individuals and employees not associated with firms or corporations which themselves could qualify as Associate-Foreign Operator Members or Associate-Regular Members or Operator Members may qualify as Associate-Supporting Members; or

(iii) Associate-Regular:  all other Associate Members.
