The Moncton Flight Centre started in business as the Moncton Flying Club in 1929 and has been in continuous operation ever since.  While the majority of our students are oriented toward commercial flight training, we do still train a number of recreational pilots.

Moncton airport is classified a Grade 2 airport with 81,000 movements in 1995.  The airport’s control tower is in operation 24 hours a day and is responsible for a 7am radius class “D” control zone; two runways (200’ x 8000’ and 200’ x 6150’) as well as a mix of light and heavy traffic.  Both of MFC’s designated training areas are within a 5 minute flight of the airport.
