Ottawa – Mr. Cliff Mackay, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Air Transport Association of Canada (ATAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Warren Everson to the position of Vice President Policy and Strategic Planning effective February 1, 2000. The position is responsible for the planning and communications functions of the Association as well as the support of a number of committees dealing with tax, labour, cargo and a range of other issues.

Mr. Everson brings a wealth of experience to this position. Most recently he has been President of Saramac Consulting Services Ltd., a company specializing in transportation issues. Prior to this he was a Senior Associate with Sypher:Mueller and held a number of senior positions in government including Chief of Staff to the Minister of Transport.

The Air Transport Association of Canada (ATAC) represents commercial aviation in Canada. Its members account for over 95 percent of all Canadian commercial aviation revenues.
