Canada Transportation Act (CTA) Review Report

On February 25, 2016, the Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, tabled the Canada Transportation Act (CTA) Review Report in Parliament. The Review undertook a broad examination of the national transportation system and identified potential actions to enhance the system’s ability to support Canada’s international competitiveness, trade, and prosperity.

The Report, entitled Pathways: Connecting Canada’s Transportation System to the World, represents 18 months of analysis including: over 340 stakeholder consultations across Canada and international travel to research and analyze models and best practices; over 200 stakeholder submissions; and over 30 Review Secretariat commissioned studies.

Mike Skrobica Celebrates 20 Years at ATAC

ATAC warmly congratulates Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Mike Skrobica, for 20 years of loyal service to ATAC and to the aviation community in Canada.

 

First hired in 1996 by then CEO John Crichton as Vice President, Finance, Mike has since become one of Canada’s leading subject matter expert in aviation security, industry monetary affairs, airports and facilitation. Mike has been an invaluable asset to ATAC members all these years and we proudly extend our heartfelt congratulations for his numerous accomplishments on behalf of ATAC members.

 

ATAC Congratulates Jean Laroche, Recently Received Fellow by the Royal Aeronautical Society

The director of the research and development of the aviation training center (CQFA), Jean Laroche, was honored by the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS). The London Society awarded him the rank of Fellow for his outstanding contribution to the advancement of aeronautics, particularly in the field of education.

Jean LaRoche learned some time ago that his candidacy had been submitted and accepted by the RAeS. The society founded in 1866 and sponsored by the Queen of England brings together aviation experts from around the world whose research and work advance the field of aviation and aerospace.
