ATAC Announcement: Report on Labour Market Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities

“The Air Transport Association of Canada (ATAC) is very pleased to have participated in this 21st century outreach by the panel on Labour Market Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities chaired by Mr. Fredeen. ATAC commends Ministers Finley and Flaherty and indeed the Government of Canada for taking this initiative to gather and summarize best practices, and for the strong encouragement for others to utilize them. This is an excellent example of providing hope and support to Canadians with disabilities while at the same time better utilizing Canadian human resources to help address the current and future anticipated labour market shortages in our aviation industry, a key enabler of the Canadian economy,” said Mr. John McKenna, President and CEO, ATAC, the national association representing Canadian commercial air operators since 1934.
