ATAC SPRING EVENT
AND AVIATION DAY-ON-THE-HILL
Post Event Summary
Spring Event
The Air Transport Association of Canada Board of Directors and staff are happy to report a successful Spring Event and Aviation Day-on-the-Hill.
We held multiple committee meetings covering topics from flight operations, flight training, dangerous goods, and more.
Thank you to Transport Minister Omar Alghabra for meeting with the Board of Directors on May 10th to hear from our industry leaders on important issues and how to best address them.
The four main points that ATAC looked to address with Minister Alghabra included:
-
Passenger rights in the context of shared responsibility.
-
Pilot flight and duty time regulations recently implemented for CAR 703 and 704 operators require flexibility and usable FRMS requirements.
-
Transport Canada level of service issues.
-
Aeronautics Act Amendment urgently required for safety data sharing protection.
