Darren brings considerable experience to ATAC. He has been a professional pilot since 2005 when he graduated from the Aviation and Flight Technology program at Seneca College. Since then he has flown for air operators in Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, steadily gaining responsibilities as a pilot, training pilot, and manager. From 2012 until joining ATAC in 2018, Darren held the position of Manager, Flight Training and Standards at Ornge, where he led the development of Canada's first Level D flight training program for the PC12 NG aircraft, and played a significant role in the development and maintenance of new standard operating procedures, training manuals, and other regulatory documents.  


Darren holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Science (specializing in Computer Science) from McMaster University, where he also studied Materials Engineering. He has previously worked as a software developer and still enjoys solving problems through the creative application of technology.
