Reporting to the Board of Directors and leading a small, high-performing team, the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for advancing ATAC’s national presence and influence. The CEO will provide strategic direction and operational leadership, with a focus on strengthening advocacy initiatives, elevating the association’s profile, addressing financial challenges and delivering thought leadership to members. In this pivotal role, the CEO will represent ATAC in public policy forums, engage proactively in regulatory consultations, and articulate the Canadian aviation industry's perspectives on key issues. As the primary spokesperson for ATAC, the CEO will oversee all advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and external relations efforts, while guiding the internal team with clarity and purpose.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic and visionary executive with a strong background in the aviation industry, government relations, advocacy, strategic communications, and public policy. With a proven track record of administrative leadership and prudent financial management —ideally within the aviation or a related sector—you are adept at building influential stakeholder networks and navigating complex regulatory and political landscapes. A persuasive communicator and trusted relationship builder, you foster a culture of collaboration, shared leadership, and organizational excellence. Your substantive business acumen supports your capabilities in generating revenue opportunities. Bilingualism (English/French) is a preferred and highly valued asset, as is the ability to work from or regularly travel to ATAC’s head office in Ottawa.
